Who Is Seniors Choice Life Insurance?

Seniors Choice is a life insurance provider that provides up to $250,000 in coverage to Canadian residents between the ages of 40 and 80. The company exclusively provides Canadian Seniors Life Insurance, a whole life insurance plan that offers flexible options for Canadians looking to have more control over their policies.

Seniors Choice requires no medical check or blood work, no policy fees, and no need for a broker. Premium costs are very competitive, and benefit funds can be used in a variety of ways.

What Does Seniors Choice Offer?

Seniors Choice offers an exclusive whole life insurance product: Canadian Seniors Life Insurance.

Whole life insurance provides coverage for your entire life, no matter how long you live. This provides you with peace of mind knowing you’ll always be covered, as long as the terms of the contract are followed. Upon your death, your beneficiaries will receive a benefit payout.

Your family can use the money they receive from your policy after your death to cover any expenses. These may include funeral costs, outstanding bills, or even your spouse’s/partner’s retirement. In this way, Canadian Seniors Life Insurance from Seniors Choice offers plenty of flexibility in how you want your insurance policy payout spent after you pass away.

40 – 60 years$250,000

71 – 80 years$150,000

What Factors Affect My Insurance Premiums?

With Canadian Seniors Life Insurance, premiums start as low as $14.88 per month*. Your premium amounts are based on several important factors, including the following:

  • Coverage amount
  • Age
  • Gender
  • Smoker status

Generally speaking, a younger, healthier person who doesn’t smoke may qualify for lower premiums compared to an older smoker with ongoing health issues.

Will My Insurance Premiums Increase?

Yes, your life insurance premiums are recalculated every year. These recalculations are based on your age and the 3% automatic benefit amount increase.

You may ask Seniors Choice not to apply the automatic benefit amount increase at any time. In this case, your benefit amount won’t increase at the next policy anniversary. Instead, your premium will increase based solely on your age.

Do note that if you opt out of 3 consecutive increases, the 3% automatic benefit increases will be removed permanently.
