We’re excited to announce the second winner of our Loans Canada Financial Literacy Scholarship. We are thrilled that we can continue to help Canadian students meet their financial and educational goals.
The second winner of our Financial Literacy Scholarship is Nathan Le, a fourth-year Bachelor of Commerce student at the University of Alberta.
About Nathan
We asked Nathan for a short summary about himself and the work he does as the President of the Financial Literacy Club at the University of Alberta.
Financial Literacy has played an important role in my life learning how to save, budget effectively and invest wisely. I strongly believe that by creating a solid foundation of financial knowledge you can create a better today for yourself. I am fortunate enough to work part-time with a big six bank increasing my knowledge every day about financial literacy and helping those who come in. This has helped me grow my savings and has taught me some key principles when considering investments. Currently, I serve as the President of the Financial Literacy Club at the University of Alberta. Our mission is to help all students from various backgrounds understand the basic principles of savings and personal wealth. We have hosted many free events for students with topics ranging from basic banking and credit scores to understanding mortgages and tax strategies. No matter where you are in life, it is never too late or too early to understand financial literacy. I am thankful for the role I play in this club and the opportunity I get to help students become financially literate.
Congratulations Nathan!
