Keepa, the tracking platform for Amazon product prices, is exactly like stock alerts and cheap flight alerts, but for products you want. Plus it is about Amazon, which dominates Canada’s online e-commerce.

If Canadians are going to give 9.8 billion US to Amazon Canada, then you need for smart, money-saving shopping. Plus, if you want to sell on Amazon, it does the market research for you.

If saving money buying from Amazon or making extra income from Amazon match your goals, then this app might be for you. Here is what you need to know about Keepa.

What Is Keepa?

Keepa is a web-based browser extension that you can use to track millions of different products on all Amazon marketplaces. Once installed, you’ll have the ability to:

  • Monitor price movements
  • Watch sales rank trends
  • Learn how quickly products will sell
  • Save money using downward price alerts

Features Of Keepa

The platform has 3 primary sections; Deals, Data and Track. You can use these tools to research and monitor products on Amazon. Keepa’s other features include:

Premium Data Access

Keepa Data is a dashboard that comes with several options for researching Amazon products. The company constantly updates its Data section with new functionalities in an effort to make their Product Finder the strongest Amazon product search tool available.

Product Finder

Keepa’s Product Finder is a database that lets you customize your search criteria and find the Amazon products that best suit you. It offers an extensive range of filters for every kind of customer, so many that you’ll need to scroll for a while to see all of them.

Product Viewer

You can use the Keepa Product Viewer to import or export a variety of product lists and Amazon Standard Identification Numbers (ASIN). This allows you to view a product’s data, like its sales rank and price drops rating. Once you upload a product, you can click on it to look at the Keepa Chart, which will show you its changes in price over time.

Product Best Sellers

You can use this search feature to browse the top selling products in all Amazon categories. Keepa updates these lists every 6 hours and, for each product included, you’ll be able to find the same data that’s available in the Product Finder.

Top Seller List

This feature shows the top-selling merchants on Amazon. Clicking on a vendor’s profile shows you their product categories, seller metrics, ratings, verified listings, view count and storefront. By default, lists are sorted by the number of ratings a merchant has.

Category Tree

Keepa’s Category Tree gives you a list of all Amazon product categories, as well as the number of products in each category. When you select a category, a dropdown menu will appear with all of its subcategories and deep-links to corresponding best seller lists.

Price Tracker

Keepa also features a price tracking tool that allows you to set up price increase alerts and get notifications when products reach your specified threshold. Here, you’ll have the option of being notified via email, Twitter, Facebook or RSS (Really Simple Syndication).

Where Can You Download Keepa?

You can download the latest version of the Keepa browser extension at the Google Chrome Web Store. Although this means you’ll need to download Google Chrome beforehand, there’s also a Keepa browser extension for Mozilla Firefox.

Which Amazon Shops Are Supported?

Once you download the app on your device, pick your preferred location in the header menu, then your site language. Afterward, you can use the Keepa database to keep track of Amazon merchants and products in a variety of countries, including:

  • Canada
  • United States
  • Japan
  • Germany
  • Italy
  • Great Britain
  • Spain
  • India
  • Mexico
  • Brazil

Do You Need An Account To Use Keepa?

Unlike other online services, one great thing about Keepa is that you can use it without an account. That said, registering for an account is easy, free, and gives you access to far more options, such as product tracking, price history graphs, and alert settings.

Are You An Amazon Product Enthusiast?

If so, Keepa could be the perfect tool for you to research, track, and manage over a billion different Amazon items across a variety of local and international markets. Check out the Keepa website to learn more about its databases, options, and price tracking features today. To discover other ways of saving money, visit the Loans Canada blog.

Keepa Amazon Price Tracker - FAQs

What items can you track on Amazon using Keepa?

Keepa records the price histories of every Amazon product. You can use it to track the price developments of individual products and it will let you know an item hits your price threshold. Keepa also lets you browse and manage millions of Amazon goods with a free, well-designed interface, and excellent money-saving features like Daily Drops.

How accurate is your data?

Keepa’s update frequency varies depending on the client and the products they show interest in. If you’re clearly tracking an item, Keepa will normally update its status at least once an hour. Most other Amazon products are updated several times a day.

What is the alert feature?

Keepa gives you the option of receiving notifications (aka alerts) for the products you’re tracking. For instance, if an Amazon item comes back in stock or reaches your price threshold. You’ll have to specifically request these alerts and arrange for them to be sent via email, Telegram Messenger, Web Push or the Keepa app (on iOS or Android).
