Crypto Exchange Canada FAQs

Who accepts cryptocurrency in Canada?

An increasing number of merchants are accepting cryptocurrency as a form of payment, including Park and Finch Eyewear, Toronto Brewing, Best Sleep, and HGregoire, among others.

What’s the difference between a centralized and decentralized exchange?

A centralized exchange serves as the middleman for crypto buyers and sellers and charges a fee on each transaction in exchange for the convenience it provides. A decentralized exchange does not have a middleman to facilitate transactions, and as such, it’s more secure and anonymous and comes with lower trading fees.

Are cryptocurrency exchanges safe?

Cryptocurrency exchanges that employ security levels, such as 2FA, are relatively secure. That said, holding your crypto in any exchange for a long period of time is not recommended. As such, it’s best to hold your crypto in your own digital or offline wallet.

What’s the best cryptocurrency app for beginners?

Beginner crypto traders may want to start with Bitbuy thanks to its user-friendly interface.

Final Thoughts

Crypto is becoming a popular asset to trade, but you need a platform to trade on. The exchange you choose to buy and sell your crypto on will depend on your level of experience, the types of coins you’re looking to trade, and how much you’re willing to pay in trade fees.
