Just about every retail giant seems to have its own credit card product, including Walmart. If you’re a frequent shopper at Walmart, you may have been approached to apply for their branded credit card. And you may find having one beneficial, as it can help you accumulate rewards that you can redeem for expenditures at Walmart.

There are a couple of options in terms of Walmart credit cards, including the Walmart Rewards World Mastercard, a no-fee credit card that can be used anywhere that Mastercard is accepted.

Let’s go into more detail about the Walmart Rewards World Mastercard to see if it’s worth adding one more credit card to your wallet.

How to Earn Rewards With The Walmart Rewards World Mastercard

With the Walmart Rewards World Mastercard, you can earn 1.25% on every dollar spent at all brick-and-mortar Walmart locations, and 3% on every dollar spent online at Walmart.ca. You can also earn 1.25% on every dollar you spend when you fill up on gas, and 1% on all other purchases.

When you first sign up, you also have the chance to earn $25 right off the bat. To earn the first $15, you’ll need to make 2 qualified purchases within the first month, and one of them must have been made at Walmart. And for the remaining $10 bonus, all you need to do is sign up for paperless statements within the first 2 billing periods.

Every Walmart Rewards Dollar you earn is equal to $1 at Walmart. You can redeem your rewards to be spent at any store location or on Walmart.ca.

You won’t be able to use your earned rewards on purchases at any other retailer. However, you can still use your Walmart Rewards World Mastercard to make purchases anywhere that Mastercard is accepted, which can help you earn all those rewards that you can spend at Walmart.

Benefits of The Walmart Rewards World Mastercard
