Brittany Paulhus

About Brittany Paulhus

I believe financial freedom should be a right, not a privilege, especially for those navigating the harsh realities of social assistance or disability supports. As a social work student and a person with a disability, I know firsthand how overwhelming and isolating these systems can be. That’s why I am committed to advocating for better financial resources and fairer policies for communities too often left behind.

Many social assistance programs are designed with rules that punish people for trying to save or improve their situation, forcing vulnerable individuals into cycles of dependence or unsafe work just to survive. My goal is to help rewrite that story—to push for policies that empower and create pathways toward budgeting, debt management, investment, and homeownership that are truly accessible.

This scholarship is more than just support for my studies; it’s a vote of confidence in the work I’m passionate about and a reminder that change is possible. Thank you for uplifting me so I can keep moving forward. If you share this passion for advocacy and financial empowerment, I would love to connect. Together, we can build something better.
